Some days I'm bored
stiff
with a load of frustrations
adrift.
Grey skies, damn wicked chill,
objections salute
mood killed
Expectations - a snobbish brute
but, ideas are flowing...

I rearrange the furniture
Water the plants
Must woo her
Chances are...

A lonesome smile
finds company
Suddenly a ripple
lingers awhile
Broad shoulders?
Hardly.
It's funny
what one remembers
in solitary

Pledges are made
then fade
until the next crisis
