Once Upon A Time | Don’t Judge


Once Upon A Time

Someday
The chimes ringing in my head
won’t be there
Instead
an angelic face
frequent presence
now but a fleeting trace
then abundance
will be joy
This boy
knows wounding pain
and feels steady flames
devoid of mercy
Perhaps this was to be
Questions run amok
around a faceless clock
I am not wiser
Dead is any glimmer
of a future
where past and present sit together
So, it was once upon a time
when love was blind
Hope
fetched its coat
went out the door
Gone forever-more
