Tender Moments | A Long Overdue Kiss


Tender Moments

Many they were that I’ll remember
Silky moments soft and tender
In my quiet scenes of reflection
I give you a standing ovation

We laughed together
Cried with each other
Touched fleeting paradise
and surmised
 
I found love and was relentless
You put me to the test
For awhile we were miles apart
nursing aching hearts

We exchanged wedding bands
Friends and family shook hands
It was a very special day
Now old and gray

But it wasn’t to be
Steadily
strong waves eroded our foundation
A parting - the final solution
